Seventeen-year-old breakout artist Tryzdin releases his third single as a solo artist, ‘Poison’ on Grá Mór Phonic Records. The song was written by Tryzdin himself, with long-term collaborator Marc Darcange (Saint Mars) crafting the arrangements. The song was produced by Billboard Top Twenty/UK no 1 rising DJ/Producer Herbert Skillz (Wayne Wonder, Pit Bull, Tory Lanez, King Doe Boi, Alonestar, Ed Sheeran) and features Pharrell Williams/N.E.R.D. guitarist Brent Paschke and Siouxsie/Goldfrapp/Simple Minds drummer Robert Brian. Tryzdin gained recognition at an early age when he received over 3.7 million views on Youtube after he covered Adele’s ‘Hello’ and was picked up by the likes of Huffington Post, Daily Mirror and RFM which resulted in invitations to Fox News and NBC4 TV shows. His first singles ‘A New Way’ and ‘Whisper’ received airplays on countless radio stations in the UK and the US (Pulse FM 98.4, BRFM 95.9, WRFM 1025, The Sound Lab, Radio Woking, Sine FM, Waves FM, Cowboy Joe Radio, KrushNation, Space Dogs Radio, Big Ear Radio, Dash Radio, etc.). ‘A New Way’ was also record of the week on Radio Northwich in the UK, while ‘Whisper’ reached n°1 on the main charts on Submithub and has been selected for In-Store usage in several word-class brands (McDonalds, C&A, SUD Express, Marc-O-Polo and Office Shoes).
Lead singer of the band Saint Mars, Tryzdin has been featured in American Idol Season 19. He has also won SongBro Award for Best Singing as well the public award at the Arnold Schwarzenegger classics singing competition in 2019. The band have received nearly 5 million streams across platforms, with features in tastemaker publications such as Clash Magazine, Wonderland Mag, Medium, Music Week, and Beats Per Minute, to name a few. Their song ‘Ocean Blues’ got one that one million streams overall and reached n° 1 on three different Submithub charts (Blogwave, Synthwave and Chillwave). During his time as part of Saint Mars, Tryzdin has worked with top-line collaborators around the globe including Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruschini and the rapper from Bristol and Ed Sheeran’s cousin Jethro “Alonestar'' Sheeran, as well as electronic artists Droid Bishop, Lost Years, Juche and The Toxic Avenger.
Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Tryzdin was initially supposed to star for just one song with Saint Mars however, the young star quickly imposed himself as the band’s permanent lead singer alongside head honcho Marc Darcange. The young star finds inspiration in a variety of acts, including Billie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots, Adele and Alec Benjamin. However his own sound draws closer comparisons to the likes of Rag'n'Bone Man, Imagine Dragons or YUNGBLUD.
‘Poison’ reveals all Tryzdin’s astounding vocal potential. Tainted with modern rock influences, the song speaks about the problem of addiction and further illustrates his sensibilities for social causes such as bullying and abusive relationships, causes that the artist has frequently spoken out about over the years, specially through his work with the band Saint Mars. But, as often with Tryzdin, the song finally invites the listener to rise up in the face of adversity, under the positive energy of the sparking choruses.
Tryzdin further elaborates on ‘Poison’, “Addiction is something that everybody in one way or another has in common: all of us are addicted to something in this world, whether it be drugs, alcohol, love, music, art, anything! I’ve also known a lot of friends and even some family members who have dealt with or even are still going through addiction; it’s a tough subject that I feel needs to be talked about”.
