Amber T returns with another addictive slice of Alternative Pop with the release of “Why Try”.
Originally an acoustic track, the song made its debut on BBC Introducing Sussex & Surrey Live Lounge. Now, with an extra touch of magic from producer Michael Smith at RYP Recordings (Wolf Alice, Honey Lung, Weird Milk), “Why Try” has evolved into an addictive slice of Alt Pop which will get you hooked from the first listen!
Written during lockdown when Amber was just 16 years old, “Why Try” embodies the feelings of helplessness and frustration shared by many during those challenging times. Amber explains:-
“I feel like this song truly caputred how i felt, and it resonated with so many others. As the years passed I realised that the song’s message is universally relatable, and people interpret the lyrics in their own unique ways. Its on one of my favourite tracks, and I’ve been performing it live for a while, so its great to finally get it recorded”.
The West Sussex based Alt Pop singer/songwriter has swiftly carved out a successful music career which is developing all the time.. At just 19 years old she has already released 10 incredible self penned songs and became the youngest ever Ambassador for Yamaha Music London. Inspired by artists including, The 1975, Sam Fender, Miley Cyrus, Fleetwood Mac/Steive Nicks, Wolf Alice etc. AMBER T continues to develop her own style with her unique vocal tone which transcends genres, it can be soulful, poppy, rocky, gritty, lush and powerful, whatever the song dictates.
From performing at open mics at age 8, teaching herself to play guitar and keyboards to writing and releasing music at the age of 15 she has already carved out a successful music career, With accolades from Sir Elton John calling her “brilliant singer songwriter” on his Apple Music Rocket Hour Show.
As Amber T continues to soar with her dynamic musical career, “Why Try" marks another milestone in her journey, promising an even brighter future for this young and immensely talented artist.
